Today I’m going to be telling you all about my most favourite foundation up to now. I’ve always enjoyed writing about products, my last review I did (which is now deleted as I started again) on Benefits ‘roller lash’ went down really well, so I decided to write another!
The Too Faced born this way foundation is definitely one to buy if you’re looking for a good, staple foundation that you can wear lightly or built up for more coverage. That actually leads me to my favourite thing about it, if I’m having a day where I’m feeling the minimal makeup look- I can wear it no problem. However, if I’m going out or need some extra coverage on blemishes, redness or spots, it’s also very buildable. Being someone who suffers with a lot of redness near my nose and forehead, I’m a huge fan of this foundation as it completely covers this insecurity. I’ve tried a few foundations that give an ok coverage but my redness shows through- however much I put on! It’s feels lovely and light on the skin even if quite a bit of product is applied, which is a huge pro as most foundations feel cakey if a large amount is applied for coverage. Another amazing feature to this Too Faced wonder is that it lasts most of the day, but if setting spray is applied too, it’s even better obviously. However, my point is that I can wear this foundation happily without a setting spray, just with a few touch ups throughout the day.
As well as all of these amazing features to this foundation, I’m in love with the packaging- I adore the gold rim around the bottle. I’m also really glad it’s a pump bottle, some of my foundations are just a bottle you have to pour the foundation out of (I’m NOT a fan of those), with a pump you can control how much product you’re using a lot better.
As you can see, this foundation has covered my rough areas and redness rather well. Also to mention this photo is completely filterless! Oh, nearly forgot, I apply the foundation with a Real Techniques beauty blender (buy one here!).
I hope this review has urged you to buy the Too Faced born this way foundation, it’s completely worth the extra money you pay compared to a high street foundation. If you want to buy this foundation, click here!
