So after a lil bit of thought, I’ve decided to start something on my blog called Mental health Mondays. Ok ok, not the most imaginative of names but I can work on that in time. The aim of this is to upload a mental health related blog post every Monday, whilst still posting my usual beauty, fashion and lifestyle stuff maybe on a Sunday, but i’ll see how that goes. From writing about my personal experiences, to Q&As with people who suffer from various MH problems, I wanna include it all.
To be quite truthful, my posts on beauty, fashion and lifestyle do not get as much interest as my mental health blog posts- in fact, not even nearly as much. You only have to look at my statistics to work that one out. I always try to write and create stuff that people WANT to read, whilst at the same time, thinking about what I enjoy writing too. I absolutely adore creating blog posts about all things mental health, as it’s something so so so close to my heart and something that actually helps me (putting all of my own thoughts down in front of myself really does ease my mind!). And to be honest, it also surrounds me within my day to day life- people extremely close to me suffer from mental health disorders, as well as battling many problems such as anxiety myself. I love that I can come from a real, personal point of view when chatting to you about this, and it literally makes me feel amazing if it helps just one person.
I’ve gotta admit, I’m still learning about the world of mental health and in no way am I saying I know everything about it. I’m doing this to not only help people with the stuff I’m knowledgable about, but to teach myself too. I’m still uneducated on so many areas of this topic, but I think this will deffo help my understanding. I also want to mention the sensitivity surrounding mental health- I will obviously try my absolute best to write with care, and to understand everybody’s perspective. Just please be patient with me, as this is very new!
So, I think that’s my little introduction to Mental health Mondays done. I’m so excited to make the posts I most enjoy writing a staple on my blog.
