Your Friday night dose of a little Mindset Mastery...
Hey lovelies! How are we all?
Now I’ve been doing this a lot myself just recently, and I’ve placed a huge importance on it within my life. What’s that? Visualisation. I’ve always known it is ‘good’ for your mindset to practice this…but I’ve never carried it out daily and added it into my morning ritual. What really got me focused on this self developmental tool is enrolling onto a 2 week success challenge with the lovely Carrie Green, who absolutely lives by visualisation. I’ll pop her links at the end of my post! On my 2 week challenge, she provided an amazing audio that guides you through a 10 minute visualisation session. I have been doing this now every single morning for 9 days straight, and WOW.
Why should we use visulisation? Well, firstly let me tell you it’s super powerful. Things are always created first in the mind, and then in reality. Therefore, picturing your goals and what you’d like your life to look like helps grow your motivation to take action, and highly supports manifestation. Your intetions become stronger and stronger the more you practice visualisation, then making it more likely for these things to REALLY happen.
I have used many techniques in the past (EFT being one of my faves, blog post coming on that one soon), but this right now, is my ultimate fave. So, how do you have a successful visualisation session?
Step 1: Find a quiet spot, get comfortable. Lie down or sit on a comfy chair!
Step 2: You can either find a guided audio, or find a piece of meditative music designed for visualisation to listen to. I’ll pop some suggestions down below.
Step 3: Now, if you’re listening to a guided audio, you will be walked through the technique. However, if you’re listening to some music, follow these step by step actions – they will likely be similar to a guided audio.
Step 4: Close your eyes. Start to focus on your breath and NOTHING else. Breathe in relaxation and positivity, hold it for 4 seconds, then breathe out any tension you may be feeling.
Step 5: After 3 or 4 rounds of deep, peaceful breathing, you should feel in a more relaxed state. Now, what I personally do next is visualise where I want to be at the end of 2020. This place is personal to you…make it somewhere you love, somewhere you feel tranquil and happy.
Step 6: You’re in this amazing place, that makes you happy, and it’s where you want to be at the end of your incredible year. Now, think about what has happened this year on the lead up to that moment. What did you achieve? What was your biggest success? Where have you been, what did you do? How did you progess? Picture these moments for 5 minutes, enjoy it!
Visualise your dream year and turn it into a reality for yourself.
Step 7: You’ve now visualised what you want your year to look like. This should leave you feeling motivated and full of positivity! It’s exciting! Follow up with some personal affirmations, speak what you want to achieve into existence.
Step 8: This is just something I enjoy doing personally, but I like to write down what came up in my daily visualisation. It’s amazing to look back on, and read those incredible things you’re setting out to do.
We can pair doing a 10 minute visualising session, with creating a vision board for your space! This could be put up in your bedroom, office…wherever you’re more likely to see it. Vision boards are lovely things to create and have around you, you’re constantly being reminded every single day of your goals. Looking at these pictures will likely spark imagining them really happening.
I hope you have enjoyed this little post on visualisation, and I also really hope you start to practice this amazing mindset technique! It’s currently my all time fave and I can see myself (quite literally) doing this forever.
Have an amazing weekend! Happy visualising.
